There are more than 50 engines on the base of 4 and 6 cylinders with sizes 120-140 mm and capacity of 58-205 kW. Production of engines was organized with use of automatic and automated lines and automates for manufacturing main components of engine. Enterprise was the main supplier of diesel engines for tractors and combines that had been produced in the former USSR. Annual production output made 200,000 items. At the moment the enterprise is the only producer of diesel engines of that type at the Ukrainian market and it supplies diesel engines to the tractor works of Russia as well. The main spare parts are supplied by enterprises of the Kharkiv Region. The enterprise was established by Gelferix-Sade, Belgian-Russian share stock company in 1878 and specialized in the repair of agricultural tools. In 1922 Serp & Molot was selected as the first state factory of agriculture machines. Since 1949 the factory has been specializing in the production of petroleum engines and combines, and since 1960 it has been producing diesel engines for tractors, combines and other machinery.
