Agni Kempo

Agni Kempo is one of the most popular martial arts that is now developing under the aegis of the World Kempo Organisation. The masters of martial arts Y. Kostrov - (9th dan) and V. Morozov - (8 dan), created it in mid 80th. The number of the Agni Kempo Sport facilities grows steadily.

Agni Kempo's extraordinary approach to training and fighting tactics draws attention of a great deal of people and other instructors from other martial art schools. The reliability of Kempo is its major asset.

Agni Kempo is considered to be a universal martial art that includes various punches, throws, undercuts, painful and suffocating techniques as well as application of the Oriental and Slavic hand arms. Kempo comprises the unique techniques of self-defence, preventive disease and health improvement exercises. Moreover it has worked out training course for the special Army and Navy security divisions, like "Commandos" etc.

Since 1992 many Ukrainian Kempo fighters received prizes in the top international tournaments and championships.

In May of 1997 Oleg Datsenko was recognised one of the eight strongest fighters in the heavyweight category in the World Championship organised by the International Federation of Karate Kyokushinkai.

According to the order of the Chairman of State Committee of Ukraine on Physical Culture and Sports of March 17, 1998, Agne Kempo was included in the " Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine " and it also obtained the status of the national martial art of Ukraine. Thus the law confirmed the validity of the belts, certificates and licenses that were previously issued. The Ukrainian Kempo organisation is now authorised to grant martial art ranks as well as the title of the master of sports of Ukraine that have international status.
