Juice Processing Draws Major Investor

A German company "Yanke" intends to invest about $10 million in the building of a huge juice producing plant in Ternopil, reported an official of food processing industry board at the Ternopil state administration.

According to the plan, it will be the biggest juice producing plant in Ukraine. 5% of its production will be sufficient to meet the demands of the whole of Western Ukraine. Exporting to other part to Europe will also enable the company to make a good profit. It will also provide substantial budget revenue from taxes.

As reported by Mykola Bilous, the head of the aforementioned board, this new German-Ukrainian joint venture will foster the revival of the horticultural industry in the Southern Ternopil oblast. Leasing land from one of the kolkhozs and planting blackberry orchards is a promising sign. The first "Yanke" juices are scheduled to appear next year.
