Bank "Aval" Introduces Bill Payment Via Internet Jean-Mark Tonti, regional manager for VISA International awarded Oleksander Dubilet, the executive chairman of "PrivatBank" a certificate confirming his accomplishment. The official ceremony took place at a joint press conference, reports the magazine "Kompanyon". According to Mr. Dubilet, the bank has issued 268, 000 "VISA" and Europay cards. "We plan to increase the number to 300, 000 by the end of this year", said the banker. He also stated that development of "card" business would continue in the future. "Competition among banks increases; however, PrivatBanks is on firm grounds and remains a leading bank in market of bank cards", said the chairman." PrivatBank has already made the necessary transactions, which allow a customer to pay cell phone bills with bankcards through banking machines. Yuriy Kandaurov, manager for individual business in "PrivatBank", noted that bank intends to introduce a paying card for pensioners. The card will enable retired people not only to receive pensions but also have their interest on money added to their account. Mr. Kandaurov said that they plan to increase share of accounts for pensioners that will be served with bankcards, to 20% of the overall number issued.
